British scientists say they’ve made a breakthrough in the fight against coronavirus, identifying a drug that can save the lives of some of the most critically ill patients.
Dexamethasone is a cheap and readily available steroid that has been in use for 60 years.
The preliminary results, which are yet to be peer-reviewed, found the drug reduced deaths of patients on ventilators by a third.
