Does this mean the virus isn’t that bad. How sick were the prisoners? Did they need ventilators?

Im still confused as to why we are quarantined. Surely enough time has passed for people to realize that while contagious, the virus is not that deadly. This is evident in the death rate of the confirmed cases (which, mind you, the death rate would be EXTREMELY lower if we had resources to test everyone). It is also clear who the main people that die from the virus are: old people and poor health people. If you wanna quarantine people, why not quarantine the elderly people, they are most susceptible to the disease.
On top of this, our economy (which in the grand scheme of things, does not matter if people start dropping like flies {which they have not}), our mental health, our way of life is being destroyed because we were fear factored into staying inside. How many of you know someone or have experienced having to wait at least a week (even after being tested negative for the virus) to be admitted into the ER even though you might have something extremely wrong with you? Not all hospitals are filled, they just have to “play it safe” for the virus
Those who say the virus would not be contained like it is if the quarantine did not happen are childish, you still have to go to the store to get materials right? And if it is as contagious as what doctors are saying, the stores are gonna be laced with the virus.
People are going to get sick, most people will have a cough at worse, and the people who will be affected most, the elderly, should be quarantined. All in all, i firmly believe we overreacted, and it is not trumps fault completely, it is the media and ourselves that we have to blame for letting this whole thing get out of hand (the fear aspect, not the virus).

In LA you have a 0.03% chance of dying from COVID19, while in 2017, you had a 0.13% chance of death of the flu. If we’re seeing more people contracting the virus without symptoms, that means it’s not as bad as the media is pushing and this isn’t about our health. OPEN THE MARKETS!
