Once again under threat? Is there even ONE actual journalist working at Global News? Because if there was, they’d know these official stats as reported by the provincial and federal governments:
64.9% of all COVID deaths in Ontario were long-term care residents (1,980 out of 3,050 total deaths, as of October 18th)
66.7% of all COVID deaths in Quebec were long-term care residents (4,027 out of 6,037 total deaths, as of October 18th)
69.6% of all COVID deaths in B.C. were long-term care residents (174 out of 250 total deaths, as of October 15th)
71.0% of all COVID deaths in Canada were long-term care residents (6,949 out of 9,778 total deaths, as of October 19th)
COVID was, and still is, a long-term care disease. That is where it has, and continues to do, the most damage. And yet governments CONTINUE to fail the residents of such facilities, letting them get sick and die from this virus, while focusing pointless attention and strictures on the general public which are at FAR less risk.
There’s a scandal you could sink your teeth into, Global News, if you had any actual journalists working there. But you don’t.

Yeah, it wasn’t long ago that reporters were given safe access to people and places in exchange for trusted journalism. Journalism is no longer trustworthy. The Smith Mundt Modernization Act is about promoting propaganda for a government fixed agenda to control the actions, health and general mind set of the humans who’ve been self-trained to watch TV and obey their political masters.

Just think about the massive resources we could have put towards protecting the truly vulnerable against covid if governments had let non-vulnerable people continue as normal while building a herd immunity and hadn’t capriciously shut down the entire economy and spent hundreds of billions in the process.

Its the staff getting covid and bringing it into the seniors homes because they are over worked and under staffed and any jo blow with a police check are they crazy what about liabilities i know their insurance will go up the roof and as they mentioned in the article what if an untrained person is called over to help lift and the senior ends up falling and being injured lawsuits will happen if a senior is injured. this is certainly a slippery slope and with covid running rampant in the seniors homes the reason the red cross doesnt want to release the numbers is because people are not applying

There needs to be an examination of where the medications are coming from how are they processed what fillers and additives are used what shortcuts are used everyone is human but it needs to be examined
