Cases of COVID-19 are climbing in Ontario, with 566 new cases recorded and the majority in parts of the Greater Toronto Area and Ottawa.
But in the city of Toronto, the province’s hardest-hit region, rules around contact tracing are changing in an effort to handle the backlog, resulting in the responsibility of telling people who may have been exposed being left to those who tested positive.
Meanwhile, Quebec recorded more than 1,000 new cases for its third consecutive day. Abigail Bimman reports on the continuing surge in cases.
