US President Donald Trump has announced he is heading back to work just hours after he was discharged from the Walter Reed Medical Centre following a positive coronavirus test on Friday.
The president addressed citizens in a short video where he touted the nation’s medical resources.
“I could have left two days ago, two days ago I felt great, better than I have in a long time,” Mr Trump said.
“I learnt so much about the coronavirus.
“One thing is for certain, don’t let it dominate you, don’t be afraid of it.
“We’re going back to work, we’re going to be out front. As your leader I had to do that, I knew there’s danger to it but I had to do it.
“I stood out front, I led. I know there’s a risk, there’s a danger, but that’s ok.
“Now I’m better, maybe I’m immune, I don’t know.”
